                                            The French Revolution& its implications

We have often heard or read about the famous French Revolution in our history books and also in other places. We often have chose not to go further in this issue, to leave it as it is in the books. But by doing so, are we doing any right? Today in many places around the globe we are seeing some sort of Revolutions staged/orchestrated by various socio-political groups. These revolutions are modern day French Revolution. The social and political unrest or upheaval which is radical in nature ,that is taking place is a direct consequence for the treatment of different political class or government as a whole and their "anti-people' policies. In recent times we have seen the "Arab spring"- which is a modern day example of the "French revolution".Many governments have changed, dictators have been replaced by transitional governments .Elections have been held in many countries like "Egypt".Mohamed Morsi was elected as Egypt's first freely elected president after the ouster of previous president Hosni Mubarak. The revolutionary wave of demonstrations ,protests ,riots and civil wars marked a new beginning in that area.Similarly around the globe in different places we find social and political and religious uprising , whose history can be traced back to French revolution. The monarchy system that existed in 18th century France was overthrown by people who thought that they were treated as second class citizens in their own country. At that time , there was a fiscal crisis in France and the common people were angered by the incompetency and policies of King Louis XVI. The cries of "Liberty,Equality,Fraternity" led to the removal and overthrow of the upper classes in France.
In 1789 the year which marked the beginning of the revolution , Olympe De Gouges  writes the declaration of rights of women.Every year on 14th of July which is celebrated in France as "Bastille day celebrations" known to the world as the "French national Day". It commemorates the  Fête de la Fédération , which was a  huge feast and official event to celebrate the establishment of the short-lived constitutional monarchy and for people it was the happy conclusion of the French revolution.
